Training Sessions and a Race Day event are being held at SSAA Wodonga Rifle Range.

The activties are being held by SSAA Biathlon Wodonga Sub Club on behalf of Australian Biathlon Association, Biathlon ACT, NSW Biathlon and QLD Biathlon.  

When:  22nd and 23 January 2022

Time:  Activities will commence from 10am on each of Saturday and Sunday. In the event of hot conditions, the sessions will start earlier and include laser rifle training and dry-fire.

Weather conditions will be viewed closer to the event dates and registered participants advised of changes to starting times and activties. 

For Whom: Activites will be held for licensed .22 athletes and non-licensed athletes using laser rifles or having a try of .22 shooting under supervision. Attendees should be members of SSAA Biathlon Wodonga, Australian Biathlon or Biathlon East Australia. 

Masters athletes are encouraged to attend. 

Licenced parents are welcome to attend and will be offered up-skilling opportunities in zeroing, sight adjusting and rifle handling. 

Daily Schedule: 

Saturday 22 January 2022 - arrive between 9am and 9.30am

10am -  .22 shooting drills and roller-skiing at the SSAA Biathlon Range. Laser activties and equipment will be available for unlicensed attendees. 

12noon to 1.30pm  - Lunch  - own catering and venue. SSAA Clubhouse maybe available and will be advised.   

2pm to 5pm -  Water based activties at Hume Weir including kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. 

After 5pm -  BBQ dinner at Hume Weir Yatch Club. Attendees wil be notified of catering arrangments, cost and what to bring once registrations to attend the Camp have closed. 

Sunday 23 January 2022 - arrive between 9am and 9.30am 

10am - .22 and laser biathlon shooting / .22 and laser biathlon fun relays. 

12.30pm to 1pm - Camp closure and wrap up

Sun 23rd Jan AM Biathlon (.22 and laser) shooting sessions and fun relays  $30 

There is a .22 Range fee of $20 for Juniors and SSAA members. It is recommended that attendees join the SSAA Wodonga Sub-Club for a cost of $20 to facilitate future attendances.

Range Fees for non-members are $40 per day.

Range Fees for each day attending should be paid when registering to attend. 

What to Bring:

Shooting: biathlon rifle and accessories, ammunition. Rifles may be available for hire if you do not have a .22 biathlon rifle, please indicate requirements when registering. 

Laser Rifles will be provided. 

Roller-Skiing: Roller-ski equipment including roller-skis, boots, poles, helmet. 

Hydration: Participants should bring plenty of drinks with them to all sessions. 

What to Wear:  Training clothing suitable for weather conditions including covered shoes for running, hat, sunscreen.  Swimming gear for Saturday afternoon session.
