Child Safeguarding Policy Webinars - for Athletes and Parents
The Australian Government's Sports Agency, Sport Integrity Australia (SIA), has developed the National Integrity Framework which takes a proactive approach to mitigate integrity threats to sports and provide a safe, fair and healthy environment for participants at all levels of sport.
Among new policies developed by SIA is the Child Safeguarding policy which sets out child safe practices and outlines what constitutues prohibited conduct in relation to interacting with children in sport.
Attendance at the webinar is required for for athletes who are 14yrs and older, and their parents wishing to be considered for national team selection. And all parents which children involved in sport are encourgared to attend.
Registration is required and a Teams link will be sent to you during Wed 29 June 2022.
