From the Race Secretary - Australian Biathlon Race Series Update

With the recent extension of the Lockdown in NSW to 30th July, it is clear that the
upcoming Vic. Champs. scheduled for the 24th and 25th of July can no longer be run as a
selection event. It is possible that an event can be run, but as a much pared back event.

It is at this stage premature to make a decision on the Australian Champs. scheduled
for 14th & 15th August, but it is not looking promising with the recent developments in
Sydney and Melbourne.

I would recommend not doing your Race entry at present. A decision on the running
of events and what form those events will take will be made as information comes to light.
ABA is committed to running events if at all possible, but it is dependent on the Government
restrictions, their effect on what we can do and who will be available to help run the events.

Fingers crossed we will be able to run some event as their looks to be good snow
coming in the next couple of days
