A Biathlon Future Stars Camp is being held for interested athletes to learn more about biathlon and develop their biathlon skills.
When: The Futures Camp will be held from Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July 2023.
Where: The Camp will be held at the Hotham Biathlon Arena.
Cost: The cost of the Camp is $350. $70 per day or $40 per session
Time: arrive 9.30 for 10am start - 12noon. Afternoon Session 1pm to 3pm

Camp Structure:
The Camp will have two sessions per day which will include XC Skiing, shooting (either .22 or laser depending upon age) with a 1hr lunch break in-between sessions. Sessions will run for up to 2hrs depending upon athlete capability and experience. There will be a focus on technique and learning, but also ensuring the sessions are fun and engaging.
Who Should Attend? Biathlon Futures is for anyone who wants to try biathlon, has tried biathlon a little and wants to try some more, it is for all ages and levels of getting started. Attendees should be able to XC ski at an Interschools beginner level.
Equipment Required: Skate XC skis, classic skis and poles will be required, gloves, sunglasses, ski beanie/headband. Athletes are encouraged to wear layers of clothing which can be removed as warming up commences. Laser biathlon equipment will be provided |.22 rifles will be available to use.
Range Pass: Athletes involved with .22 activities at the Future Camp will need to purchase a Range Pass and indicate they hold a firearms licence or minors permit.
A Range Pass is not required for laser biathlon activities.
Drinks and Snacks: Athletes should have plenty of drinks and snacks with them for during the sessions.
Membership: Membership of Biathlon Australia is required to attend the Future Stars Program.
