IBU Junior Cup 2 has drawn to a close with some more great shooting performances from our AUS Junior team in Ridnaun. Noah Bradford shot clean (0,0) in the Junior Men 10km Sprint to finish 39th. Only seven shot clean in the Junior Men’s Sprint from over 140 starters. As a result of Noah finishing in the top 40, Noah becomes the first Australian to earn IBU Junior Cup Discipline Points for season 2023-24 (2 Junior Cup Sprint Score Points and 2 Total Score Points). Noah now has three top half of the field results this season and is looking forward to stepping up to race IBU Cups 4 and 5 with Boris Stanish back in Italy next month in Martell (IC4) and Ridnaun (IC5).
Our three Junior Women who competed in the 7.5km Sprint last night all shot 80% and above: Ava McCann shot (0,2) placing 63rd, Rosie Franzke shot (1,1) placing 65th, and Alessandra Sydun-West shot (0,1) placing 85th of the 113 finishers.
Australia finishes IBU Junior World Cup 2 in the top 20 nations, ranked 19th in the junior men and 17th in the junior women. Well done to our ten-athlete IBU Junior Cup team for doing Australia proud in Slovenia (JC1) and Italy (JC2).
E arrivederci Ridnaun!
