Sandra Paul OLY appointed as new General Manager for BA

Biathlon Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Sandra Paul, OLY as its new General Manager. Sandra brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for skiing to the role. Sandra competed in Biathlon for Australia in the 1992 and 1994 Olympic Games and takes on this important leadership role for our sport in the lead up to the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Many in the biathlon family are already familiar with Sandra through her active participation in FIS races as the FIS Technical Delegate.   She currently serves on FIS subcommittees, including the Rules and Control, Rollerski, and Popular Ski Race Committees.  Sandra is also the Race Director for the Kangaroo Hoppet, Australia’s premier cross-country ski event.

In addition to her extensive experience in biathlon and skiing , Sandra has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills in the healthcare sector, having led world-first best practices in cancer treatment.  This achievement showcases her ability to manage complex projects and deliver impactful results.

Sandra, together with our Executive Officer, Robyn (executiveofficer@biathlonaustralia.com.au), National Integrity Manager, Brooke Irvine (integrity@biathlonaustralia.com.au) and our stable board of directors form a strong, cohesive and collaborative leadership team.  Together we will continue to drive the governance, growth, integrity, reputation, stability and success of Biathlon Australia, both here and abroad – as per our strategic vision of A Better Biathlon for All
