URGENT: Winter Olympic Games Tickets

Published Wed 06 Nov 2024

The AOC has offered Biathlion Australia the opportunity to pre-order tickets for the 2026 Winter OIympic Games.  This order must be placed by BA.  You cannot place a pre-order booking directly yourself.

Biathlon ticket prices are Euro 200, 90 or 50 depending on the spectator area you desire (category A, B or C).  Enclosed is a PDF map of Antholz with A, B and C areas clearly marked.

See enclosed session details PDF and schedule.  You will need to let us know which dates and events you would like to preorder (eg Women's 7.5km Sprint, Men's 10km Mass Start, etc).

BA only has one chance to pre-order tickets via the AOC's official portal.  Tickets must be pre-paid (you pay BA and BA pays the AOC).  Tickets are not guaranteed.  If tickets are not able to be allocated then you will receive a refund.

If you are want to to pre-order then please email your request to our XO immediately (executiveofficer@biathlonaustralia.com) before 5pm (AEDT) Wednesday 6 November 2024.  The AOC pre-order ticketing portal closes on 8 November 2024 and we plan on placing our order on 7 November.

There is also a Family & Friend package (see enclosed PDF) which states that "Athletes will be guaranteed two tickets each for the session in which they compete, to be purchased directly online".  The AOC has also confirmed that "Those tickets will be available much closer to the Games so no need to worry about pre-purchasing now."  So, if it's only 2 tickets you require then they will be available through that package - if your loved one is competing.

General admission tickets are also available via a ballot: https://tickets.milanocortina2026.org/en/

Please let us know before 6 November 2024 if you want to pre-order any tickets for which dates and events.  If so, we will invoice you accordingly.

Paralympic tickets will be available in due course and we'll advise what the deal is once we know.

Have a great day

Below are the AOC's T&Cs which BA (and by extension you) must accept.

AOC TICKETING PORTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By clicking on “Accept” you confirm that you have read, accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (Terms) which govern your use of the Australian Olympic Committee’s (AOC) Ticketing Portal (Portal), your request for Milano Cortina 2026 Games ticket(s) and your non-commercial use of any Games ticket(s) granted by Milano Cortina 2026.

Authorised Representative
Where the AOC allows an authorised representative to use the Portal on behalf of an organisation, references to “you” and “your” throughout these Terms refer to the organisation. By submitting a request on the Portal, the nominated representative of the organisation warrants that he or she has delegated authority to commit to the full value of the Games ticket(s) requested. Each organisation may only have one authorised representative and one account on the portal.

Access to Portal
The Portal will be open from 9 October to 8 November 2024. The AOC is unable to grant any extensions of time to submit Games ticket requests after this end date. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and must notify the AOC immediately if such details are compromised. The AOC is not responsible for the fraudulent use of your login details by a third party. The AOC in its sole discretion may suspend access to the Portal in circumstances where you have breached these Terms. The AOC makes no representation or warranty regarding the Portal, including that access will be uninterrupted, error free, secure or free from viruses. You acknowledge that the AOC relies on information from Milano Cortina 2026 and cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information on the Portal. You must not use the Portal for purposes other than to request Games ticket(s) or in a way which would infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights) of the AOC, other uses or third parties. You must not disrupt the operation of the Portal, the servers or networks connected to the Portal, including by engaging in piracy, hacking or propagation of viruses.

Role of the AOC
The AOC is responsible for collating ticketing requests from institutional stakeholders and submitting that request to Milano Cortina 2026. Your request for Games ticket(s) is at the absolute and final discretion of Milano Cortina 2026 which will apply a methodology factoring in demand, capacity restrictions and fair priority to allocate tickets. The AOC makes no representation with respect to the provision of Games ticket(s) to your organisation.

Single Request
You may only submit one (1) request on behalf of your organisation for Games ticket(s). The AOC will not accept multiple requests for Game Ticket(s) by the same user and/or organisation.

Upfront Payment
The price of each Games ticket is set by Milano Cortina 2026 and will include taxes and, potentially, a Milano Cortina 2026 processing fee. On submission of your request, the AOC will issue you with a pro-forma invoice in EURO for the total of your ticket order. Following the close of the Portal on 8 November 2024, the AOC will issue a valid tax invoice denominated in AUD. Full payment of this invoice will be required by close of business 15 November 2024 to enable the AOC to lodge your Games Ticket request with Milano Cortina 2026.

No Guarantee of ticket allocation
The submission of your Games ticket(s) requests (and your upfront payment for those Games ticket(s)) does not guarantee your final ticket allocation at the time of purchase. If Milano Cortina 2026 does not allocate to you the Games ticket you requested, the AOC will inform you as soon as possible and process a full refund to you within 30 days. The AOC anticipates being informed of successful and unsuccessful Games Ticket allocations in approximately February 2025, but the timing of the allocation is the responsibility of Milano Cortina 2026 and not within the control of the AOC. Following the actual ticket allocation by Milano Cortina 2026 in approximately February 2025, a final pro-forma invoice in EURO will be issued to verify the final allocation. Where a refund is due, the AOC will issue a credit note against the AUD invoice previously issued and process a repayment to you.
