Coach Development

COACHING IS THE FOUNDATION OF PARTICIPATION AND PERFORMANCE IN ANY SPORT.

The vision of the Biathlon Australia is to develop the skills and competencies of its coaches, enable personal development, support increases in participation at all levels and help to achieve the personal and performance goals of those being coached.

The development of Biathlon Australia's coaching pathway is just starting out and will be assisted by the framework being developed by the International Biathlon Union (IBU) - see below.  

For 2022-23, as Biathlon Australia's coaching pathway is drafted and determined, an interim accreditation criteria has been adopted by ABA's Coaching Sub-Committee to provide coaching accreditation levels to coach's and volunteers who have exptressed interest in obtaining an accreditation and being involved in biathlon coaching.
